Review of Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na the 2008 Hindi Movie Hit

This is about two best friends – two youngsters who think that they are just pals and nothing more. They are so dear that her parents think they should spent their life with each other while jay and aditi decline to do so. In order to convince everyone about their friendship, they decide to find a partner for each other. However, after dating others they realize that there is love between them, but the realization could be a little too late, for Aditi is leaving the country and Jai is in a prison.

This is the Hindi actor Imran Khan’s first movie. The Hindi actress Genelia D’Souza also became famous and was well appreciated. She had acted in another Bollywood movie prior to this, in which she did not get noticed. The story is not actually path-breaking, but the execution is just superb. The theme is very fresh and the sub-plots are just brilliant. Another feature of the movie is the music. The music is very lively and already a rage among the youth. The college going crowd is the target audience, but it can also be liked by others.

Both the protagonists have performed very well. Genelia in particular has charmed everyone with her cuteness and innocence. She is one Hindi actress who can make it really big. She has a lot of scope in modeling as well due to her good looks. All in all, this is one of the better Bollywood movies in the recent times and has given the industry two new faces for the future.

This film has many elements of classic Hindi films, great music which held the number one spots on the charts for weeks and weeks.
